About
Our Story
Founded in 2025 and based in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, Praani Protection Foundation is a registered trust dedicated to the welfare and rights of animals. But our journey began much earlier.
Between 2021–2024, we worked as an informal volunteer collective:

Rescuing 200+ distressed animals

Vaccinating cows and dogs against life-threatening diseases

Fitting reflective collars to keep street animals safe on roads

Hand-raising abandoned calves and puppies

Facilitating adoptions into caring homes

Coordinating sterilisation of community animals
Our volunteers contributed their efforts in Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, among others, to help local organisations and rescuers in their efforts. This consistent, grassroots work inspired us to formally register in 2025, giving us the legal standing to collaborate with authorities, access support, and expand our mission.
Mission
To create a compassionate, cruelty-free world where all animals - from community dogs and cows to farmed and wild beings - are protected, respected, and free from exploitation. We work through rescue, rehabilitation, policy advocacy, and the promotion of vegan philosophy, bridging compassion with law to ensure justice for every life.

First Aid Workshop
In 2021, we held our "Be A Rescuer" workshop that guided participants in primary first aid for community animals, and in recognizing some of the most common injuries in dogs and cows.
We equipped all 35 police stations in Durg district with comprehensive posters detailing animal cruelty laws relevant to Chhattisgarh, bridging the gap between legal protection and ground-level enforcement.
